I spend an awful lot of time looking at cars. I can identify them from the way their headlights look at night. I can often even identify them by the sound of their engine noise (like the Aston Martin Vantage, oh how sweet it is).
But more often than not, the true tell on any car is what it looks like from behind, especially in the case of exotics as they are usually passing me and I don't get a good look at anything other than the taillights. I have become quite familiar with this view. So it would stand to reason that one of my favorite shots in all of the car photography that I do is the symmetrical rear shot. I even use these shots as backdrops on my computer and other digital devices.
Over the last few years I have built up quite an accumulation of images taken from this vantage point and thought it would create an interesting "collage" of sorts. I've even put some thought into making a calendar of these (there's not quite enough of them to do a daily tear-off desk calendar yet).
So, without further delay, here are some of my favorites. I believe you'll recognize many of them by simply viewing the images without reading the description as you have probably become accustom to seeing them on the road in the same fashion as I have: being left in their dust!
